WAITING LIST
If you are interested in your child possibly attending The da Vinci School, we welcome and encourage you to submit a waiting list form and questionnaire. These can be obtained by contacting our office. If you are expecting, please submit the form only after your child is born. If you should move or change phone numbers, please drop us a postcard to notify us of any changes.

Priority for placement goes to currently enrolled families. Thus, availability varies greatly from year to year. The most openings are generally within the 18 month-2 1/2 year age range. However, there are times we have openings in 3’s, 4’s and kindergarten.

Since we are uncertain until early April each year who is enrolling their children for the following fall, we are unable to offer any status reports throughout the school year. You are sent a letter in the spring notifying you of the likelihood of placement. At this time you will be asked to send in an update in order to remain on the waiting list. If placement is possible, we shall ask for a teacher evaluation from your child’s current teacher and we’ll schedule a time for you and your child to visit the school.

In considering placement, we look at several factors, including class make-up, ages, sex (we strive for 50/50 ratio of boys and girls), duration of time on the waiting list and school readiness. We also want the school to be a good philosophical match with that of the parents.
