Camp da Vinci is held annually in Dallas, Texas
at our La Sierra Drive location. It is designed for
children ranging in age from 18 months to age 7 years.
Camp begins in early June and is over in late July.
Students are enrolled by the week.
While many of our school-year students attend Camp
da Vinci, we often enroll a substantial number of
children who do NOT attend during the school year.
We especially enjoy the opportunity to provide these
children with a da Vinci-style learning
experience!
We divide groups by roughly 6 month age spans for
Camp da Vinci. The weekly themes are prearranged and
address the special interests and abilities of each
age group.
Our youngest campers are called Mini-Campers.
Mini-Campers serve children 18 months through age
two. This is an excellent time for children to be
enrolled who are looking at school year placement.
This gives everyone a chance to see if the toddler
is truly ready to enjoy a school experience.
Favorite topics for the Mini-Campers include Hooray
for Bugs! and I Dig Dinosaurs. In
camp, children are enrolled two or three mornings
per week for two-week sessions.
The 3-4 year olds attend Discovery Kids.
Our intention is to excite and inspire the curious
mind of the three year old. Favorite science-based
topics may include Diggin in the Dirt,
Re-inventing the Wheel, and Somethin
Fishys Goin On. Da Vinci-ville
is a camp classic where we make houses, cars and a
multitude of creations from cardboard boxes. Camp
is five mornings per week for one week sessions.
DaVinci
Explorers Club is designed for the active and
adventurous 4-7 year old. We often bring in outside
specialists to conduct special interest camps for
this age range. We also have more frequent field trips
at this age level. Some of our annual favorites are
Theatre Camp, Carpentry Camp and Ice Skating Camp
(off-site). Other favorite topics might include Its
a Mummy, Mommy, and X Marks the Spot.
Information on Camp da Vinci is mailed each April
to anyone who is on our waiting list or who attended
the previous summer camp. Children on our waiting
list not old enough to attend school do NOT receive
camp information.
